My client, a leading brand in the publishing industry, is recruiting multiple Project Managers for a two-year Fixed-Term Contract as part of their high profile Business Transformation agenda. Recent Media / Media-Publishing experience is essential and the ideal candidate will have experience managing projects within a commercial and consumer related environment. Reporting directly to the Programme Director, responsible for the timely delivery of the full project and initiative deliverables, working alongside the members of the different verticals and programme teams. The lifetime of this role is tied in to the length of the project. To be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with commercial strategy, commitments and goals. Key Accountabilities:
- Develop full scale project plans that link the deliverables and expectations for business operating teams
- Ass
ist with the recruitment of and coordinate project staff - Manage project resource allocation
- Plan and schedule project timelines, taking into account the interdependencies with the other areas of the function and the wider business
- Track project deliverables using appropriate tools
- Provide direction and support to project team, thereby demonstrating a commercial understanding of the deliverables
- Effectively applies the project methodology and enforces project standards.
- Working with the Programme Director and project change management team jointly oversee the information gathering and then assisting in the implementation of the change plan, including gap and impact analysis, training and engagement plans for your area
- Demonstrate understanding of service practices aligned to customer segmentation strategy.
- Working with the Programme Director, Process Transformation and Service Transformation teams, understand their role in the project delivery and
facilitate changes to working practices when required - Establish, manage and communicate project governance
- Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Create, manage and maintain all Project timeline documents across its full life cycle
- Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables
- Define project tasks and resource requirements
- Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to the programme team and sponsor
- Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions
- Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion
- Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs
- Project evaluations and assessment of results
- Facilitate and deliver workshops, ensuring project methods are agreed and understood by stakeholders.
- Carry out risk and impact analysis of interdependencies within and outside of team control.
- Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
- Facilitates team and sponsor/stakeholder meetings effectively and holds regular status meetings with project team.
- Keeps project team well informed of changes within the organisation and general company news that may affect the project.
- Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully Key Skills
- Prince 2 practitioner qualified or equivalent.
- Experience in Business Analysis
- Knowledge of project management techniques and tools
- Work experience in project management capacity
- Experienced in use of KPI?s to measure delivery quality and productivity.
- Ability to communicate at all levels and decipher complex messages
- Operational experience in Customer Service.
- Experienced in influencing people and gaining buy-in
- Experienced in strategic planning
- Demonstrable experience in risk management
- Experienced in change management
